Work on Bagchhal bridge will be completed soon: Virbhadra Singh…

An additional amount of rupees 16 crore has been sanctioned for completion of Bagchaal bridge and the work has been allotted to Gammon India Private  Ltd with directions to complete the left out work with next two years or so, stated Chief Minister  Shri Virbhadra Singh while addressing a massive gathering at Ghandir in Jhanduta Assembly segment in Bilaspur district today.

On completion, it will benefit more than 20,000 population of 17 panchayats located on left bank of Govind Sagar and 25,000 population of 19 Panchayats on right bank of the river i.e. connecting Shri Naina Devi ji and Jhandhuta. This would shorten the distance of habitations  on opposite ends of the river  by around 70 kilometres from Bilaspur and  Swarghat would be just 13 kilometres from  Jhanduta which otherwise was more than 100 kilometres.

He said that this was his dream project but had expanded over a period of time, which was going to be fulfilled soon. He said that Gammon India stopped decking work on the ground as strata around the pier was not the same as envisaged during designing the foundation. However, revised proposal for foundation of bridge pier was submitted and now again the Gammon India Limited has taken up the job for completion of the bridge.

The Chief Minister said that the vandalism and hooliganism of BJP won’t be tolerated at all which tries to make mountain out of a molehill to be in media. He reiterated  that Gaddi community was respectable to him and he said nothing as twisted by few and the  opposition was politicising the issue. There is always a peaceful way to protest and not by taking law in the hands and creating furore, he remarked.

The Chief Minister announced up-gradation of Primary Health Centre with 30 bed facility at Barthi. He also announced Primary Health Centre  to be opened anywhere in centre of three adjoining panchayats viz: Dadh, Dari-Bari and Nakhlera which could cater to all the surrounding habitations. He said that the Police Station at Jhandhuta would be set up soon and directed the Director General of Police to make it functional. He directed to complete the construction of sub-tehsil building soon at Kalol.

He announced Ayurvedic dispensary for Baloh and Dari and upgradation of Primary School Riyana to Middle school.

He also addressed simultaneous public meetings at Kalol and Dari-Bari and listed developments of last over four and a half years  in field of education, health, welfare etc.

Earlier, Chief Minister inaugurated the  parking complex of Shri Naina Devi ji through video-conferencing constructed with an outlay of Rs.3.3  crore, Bhallu-Balyor bridge over Seer khud completed with a cost of rupees three crore. He said that the work was much delayed due to the fault of the contractors as

 

the tenders were invited time and again and now the bridge was dedicated to people at last.

He inaugurated Ayurvedic dispensary at Dudian (Tehri) at Kalol on which an expenditure of Rs. 14.50 lakh has been incurred.

As announced during his last visit in June, 2016  to construct additional block of GSSS, Nakhlehra, he laid foundation stone of its administrative block to cost Rs. 74 lakh approximately and laid foundation stone of educational block of GSSS, Dahad to cost Rs 27.20 lakh, foundation stone of  additional block of Government High School, (GHS), Baroha and that of  Dokhroo to cost Rs. 31 lakh and Rs. 49.53  lakh respectively.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of foundation stone of Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) for Dari-Bari and its adjoining villages and augmentation of LWSS Samleta Bhater to cost Rs 5.44 crore to benefit a population of approximately 6700 of 17 villages of Damli, Dari-Bari, Nakhlera and Dahad Gram panchayats.

He laid foundation stone of Sub-Tehsil office building at Kalol to cost Rs. 1.21 crore

The Chief Minister announced opening of classes of GSSS, Ghandir and laid foundation stone of additional educational block of GSSS, Bharoli-Kalan to cost Rs 42.71 lakh,  GSSS, Baloh to cost Rs 59.58 lakh  and GHS Balghar  at Ghandir to cost Rs 63.76 lakh.

He performed foundation stone laying ceremony of flood protection work in Saryali khud from Talai to Baghroo in Jhandhuta tehsil  to cost Rs. 6.65 crore and to protect 37.50 hectare of land.

Chairman 20 Point Point Programme Implementation Committee Shri Ram Lal Thakur, MLA Bilaspur Shri Bambar Thakur, Former MLAs  Shri Biru Ram Kishore, Shri Babu Ram Gautam and Shri Tilak Raj, DCC President, Shri Kamlinder Kashyap, President Zila Parishad Shri Amarjit Bagga, Chairman, APMC Shri  Vivek Kumar, General Secretary DCC Shri Sandeep Sankhyan, Member Zila Parishad Shri Subhash Thakur, President DCC (Women) Smt. Anjana Dhiman, President Kissan Congress Shri Rattan Singh Thakur were also present on the occasion amongst others.
