Governor Acharya Devvrat said non-violence was the greatest religion, which everybody should follow in their lives. He was speaking while inaugurating the cultural evening of international Kullu Dussehra festival on Saturday evening.
He said Dussehra festival was very significant as teachings of Lord Rama were equally important in the present time as well. He appreciated the efforts of Kullu district administration for giving focus on social issues during each cultural evening, which was a welcome step.
The Governor urged the people of the State to participate in campaigns on cleanliness, water conservation, de-addiction, zero budgeting farming and girl education etc.
He honoured the widows of the families of martyrs on this occasion besides five employees of NIC for making software for issuing permit for Rohtang visit.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-chairman of Kullu Dussehra festival committee Shri Yunis detailed about the activities planned for the festival.
