“Due to the status of the Special Counsel’s investigation, the parties do not believe this matter is ready to be scheduled at this time,” CNN quoted a filing as saying on Friday.
The special counsel has asked for two more months before scheduling Flynn’s sentencing. They have requested to file another status report by Aug 24. It is for a third time that the special counsel has requested for a delay.

Meanwhile, former foreign policy adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign, George Papadopoulos is scheduled for sentencing on September 7 for lying. Richard Pinedo, an online auctioneer of fake IDs, who sold bank accounts to Russians meddling in the election would be sentenced in mid-September or later for identity fraud.
Micheal Flynn pleaded guilty to charges of lying to FBI regarding his contacts with Russia. Special Counsel Robert Mueller, brought charges on Flynn as part of his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.Following which, Flynn was forced out of the position.
It was revealed that he had discussed lifting US sanctions on Russia with the Russian ambassador to Washington before Mr Trump took office in January, and that he lied to the US vice-president about that conversation.
