Protesters in Bogota carried signs and chanted anti-government slogans in the latest of nearly a dozen demonstrations in recent months.
Anti-riot police were seen dispersing crowds with tear gas, buildings were damaged and graffiti was sprawled on public buses.
Colombia’s student protesters are trying to put pressure on President Ivan Duque to boost education spending- which has only incrementally risen over the last two decades.
A student activist committee and the government have recently met several times to negotiate, but have failed to reach an agreement to halt the marches.
