About a dozen residents were trapped as three houses were toppled by the landslide.
Ten people were rescued from the rubble. Three died on the way to hospital. Seven are receiving treatment, reported CCTV.
Around 600 rescuers were dispatched for rescue efforts, news agency Xinhua said.
