According to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Cory Martino, there was only one person in the twin-engine plane, and four people in the house that caught fire.
The pilot and all the four occupants of the home – two males and two females died on the spot.
The Cessna 414A plane took off from the Fullerton Municipal Airport and crashed in Yorba Linda shortly after its take off, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer said.
The two-storey house caught fire after being stuck by the main cabin and one engine of the plane. Whereas, the second engine dislodged and fell onto the street, creating a large hole in the road which panicked the nearby residents, said Eliott Simpson, an aviation accident investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board.
Receiving the information firefighters and paramedical workers rushed to the spot and took the injured to a hospital.
