Shehbaz Sharif the brother of Nawaz Sharif is currently leading the PML-N as its president after Nawaz was disqualified from holding elected office or party leadership for life after his name appeared in the Panama Papers.PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said he won’t be able to participate in the electoral campaign in the upcoming general elections due to the fragile medical condition of his wife Kulsoom Nawaz.
The party ruled Pakistan for five years and after completing its full term on 31 May, handed over the power to a caretaker government.

Kulsoom, 68, was admitted to hospital in London in August last year after doctors found she was suffering from throat cancer. She has been undergoing treatment since then.
