Obama has made a number of campaign stops, using tough rhetoric against Republicans in a heated campaign where Democrats have a shot at re-taking the US House of Representatives.
The election is largely being seen as a referendum on the Trump administration.
Obama criticized Trump’s decision to deploy US troops to the US-Mexico border saying, “they’re telling us that the single most grave threat to our nation is a bunch of poor, impoverished, broke, hungry refugees a thousand miles away.”
